A Mother’s Heart Midwifery Website

Overview

A Mother's Heart Midwifery provides midwifery care that honors a mother's intuition regarding the needs of herself and her baby throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. This small business was created by a mother to provide interpersonal care and education through the birthing process. A Mother’s Heart Midwifery aids mothers through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This small business hired Daily Digital Charleston to create a website to promote their brand and services. I accomplished this by designing the wireframes and ultimately the final prototype.

Problem

A Mother's Heart Midwifery, a small business offering midwifery services, is facing the challenge of limited reach due to the absence of an online presence. Without a website, the business is unable to tap into the vast potential of online marketing and reach a wider audience. Potential clients who rely on online search and research methods may be unaware of the services offered by A Mother's Heart Midwifery, resulting in missed opportunities to connect with and serve expectant mothers seeking personalized and holistic care during their pregnancy and childbirth journey. By addressing the lack of a website, the business can expand its reach and effectively communicate its unique value proposition to potential clients.

Solution

To address the limited reach of A Mother's Heart Midwifery, a solution is to create a well-designed and user-friendly website. The website should provide essential information about the midwifery services offered, including the qualifications and expertise of the midwife. Additionally, the website can showcase testimonials from satisfied clients, highlighting the positive experiences and outcomes achieved through the midwifery care provided. By optimizing the website for search engines, A Mother's Heart Midwifery can enhance its online visibility, attract a wider audience, and establish credibility as a trusted provider of personalized and compassionate midwifery services.

Branding Guide

The Brand/Style guide was created by the lead designer, Trent Palmer. This helped narrow down the visual aesthetic of the website.

Design Changes

Refocus Branding
With request by the client as well as several user suggestions, more green was incorporated throughout the website as well as the logo design. This was meant to highlight the tone of the website being calm and promoting the natural theme significant to the midwife’s message. Likewise this consisted of less sharp edged buttons and more light wording. For instance, we removed the phrase: “What you get..” from the services, wishing to promote a more calming tone.
